With the close of 2009, most would agree that it was a year like no other for the marketing industry. A new presidential administration, economic uncertainty and a worldwide shift in consumer behavior has dramatically shifted the way we leverage and think about media.
For the digital marketing industry, the economic crisis challenged us to create more with less, spawning an overhaul in the way we utilize the digital channel. Among multiple developments, targeting became more targeted, communication became more experiential, measurement became more important, and the social web became mainstream, taking a forefront in presidential campaign communication for the first time in history.
With this evolution, came new challenges for agencies and the clients they support. These challenges will be the focal point of the first MITX Digital Strategy event of 2010. Join us as we host a panel comprised of six digital experts to discuss how things have changed, and what it means for the year ahead. Amongst others, we will address topics such as:
* The evolving role of "social" as part of media strategies * Agency transformation (e.g. departmental shifts and evolving job titles/tasks) * Metrics and analytics * The ever-changing search landscape * Changing online privacy regulations * New IAB guidelines and experiential media
MITX's annual state of the industry event is a program that has evolved to focus on insightful discussions and examinations of what is coming as we move forward in a digital interactive world. Don't miss this event!
