Information you provide when registering for events or purchasing products or services will be used in connection with that event or purchase and will be added to MITX's database for future promotional marketing and aggregate data analysis. Credit/debit card information may be maintained temporarily for the purposes of processing payment, but is not stored in our database and is thereafter disposed of in accordance with applicable laws. This data is not released to outside parties, except as is needed for transaction processing and fulfillment.
We use return email addresses to answer the email we receive. Such addresses are not used for any other purpose and are not shared with outside parties.
MITX may periodically permit third-party materials to be mailed via postal mail to MITX's contact database.
MITX may use personally identifiable information to contact you for informational, marketing and promotional purposes, such as notices about member and sponsor benefits, organizational announcements, and other outbound marketing efforts.
We will not use or share the personally identifiable information provided to us online in ways unrelated to the ones described in this privacy notice without also providing you an opportunity to opt-out or otherwise prohibit such unrelated uses.
MITX may also collect information about you that is not personally-identifiable. Examples of this type of information may include your company's industry segment and size.
We use non-identifying and aggregate information to better design our Web site and to share with sponsors and other third parties. For example, we may tell a sponsor that X number of individuals visited a certain area on our Web site, or that Y number of men and Z number of women filled out our registration form, but we would not disclose anything that could be used to identify those individuals.
MITX may also automatically collect non-personally-identifiable information about your use of the Web site, such as the domain from which you access the Internet (for example, aol.com, if you are connecting from an America Online account), the date and time you access the Web site, and the Internet address of the web site from which you linked directly to our Web site. The Web site is not directed at individuals under thirteen years of age, and MITX does not intend to collect any personally-identifiable information from such individuals.
MITX reserves the right to disclose any information collected from you to third parties when we have reason to believe that disclosing this information is necessary to identify, contact or bring legal action against someone who may be causing injury to or interference with (either intentionally or unintentionally) MITX's rights or property, other members or users of the Web site, or anyone else that could be harmed by such activities.

Our Web site provides links to various other Web sites. MITX assumes no responsibility for the information practices of sites you are able to access through the MITX Web site. These links to other sites do not imply affiliation or endorsement of a linked site.
The importance of security for all personally-identifiable information associated with our users and members is of utmost concern to us. Unfortunately, no data transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be secure. As a result, while we strive to protect your personally-identifiable information, MITX can't ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us or from our Web site. Once we receive your personally-identifiable information, we will take reasonable efforts to ensure its security on our systems.

You can correct factual errors in your personally identifiable information by logging into our website and updating your profile and if you are the main contact for a company, you may update that member company's information as well. Alternatively you can send a request to email@example.com that credibly shows the error and correction.
