My First Big Gig

A MITX initiative to connect and educate local universities, students, and companies about the opportunities that exist in the Internet business and marketing industry.

Massachusetts and the greater New England Area is recognized as a global hub of innovation, entrepreneurship, and opportunity. Yet, with over 300 schools in the Greater Boston Area alone, there appeared to be a disconnect between students, universities, and employers; jobs and careers the students weren't aware of, and students who would've been a perfect fit if only the hiring company had known about them before they moved away. Our research suggested a need to educate these groups about the vast network that exists here to support them, and the ever-evolving opportunities and roles within the Internet business and marketing realm.

That's why MITX partners with organizations like Stay In MA, Massachusetts It's all Here, and local universities and government - to spread the word about this amazing and vibrant community.

We have also launched a student and university digital resource center, filled with information about the Internet business and marketing world, detailed information about the positions that exist today, the companies that are looking to hire top talent, and the universities that are involved in this industry.
